Upstream Relationship

CORTEX receives raw intelligence streams from OCULUS and environmental sensors, applying authentication, encryption, normalization, and structural encoding before any cognitive processing occurs.

Operational Function

Maintains a live cognitive state store — a continuously updated, encrypted representation of all active signal context, memory associations, and confidence-scored pattern models available to reasoning engines.

Downstream Outputs

Structured signal representations are passed to VERITAS for deterministic reasoning and CEREBRAL for neuro-symbolic processing. VESTA serves as the long-term substrate for accumulated cognitive memory states.
